Knotweed

The herb is a creeping, ground-covering perennial that reaches a height of about 25 cm. It flowers from July to October and turns a bronze hue in winter.

The flowers are red which, according to witchcraft, makes them a magical line of protection and keeps away evil forces. They are planted in the planter so as to shield the south-facing plants. These are in fact counted among the devil plants.
