The cosy café In ‘t Paradijs rose from the rubble of WWI and was operated from 1936 by Jules Lepère and Maria Demeyere. Youngest son Robert took over the café with wife Paula Allerweireld in 1951. Paula kept the café open for more than 60 years until her death in 2012. After a thorough renovation, the café was given a complete new look and Franky Gryson and Christa Lepère took over. On 1 January 2023, it was time for the 4th generation to take over. Jonas Gryson currently runs café In ‘t Paradijs. Besides café, there is also a party room available.
