Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 coul\u00e9 en b\u00e9ton par les troupes allemandes en 1916 ou 1917 dans un coffrage en bois et avec une armure en fer. Le 26 septembre 1917, lors de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toerismezonnebeke.be\/zien-en-doen\/geschiedenis-slag-bij-passendale\/\">la troisi\u00e8me bataille d&rsquo;Ypres<\/a>, le 56e bataillon australien prit Scott Post. Le nom du bunker ferait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 leur commandant, le lieutenant-colonel Alan Humphrey Scott. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de la butte le 1er octobre 1917. Au total, il y a les vestiges de sept bunkers, dont le poste de Scott est le plus important.<\/p>\n<h2>Apr\u00e8s la guerre<\/h2>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s la guerre, la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toerismezonnebeke.be\/zien-en-doen\/polygoonbos\/\">for\u00eat du Polygone<\/a> a fourni un environnement s\u00fbr pour faire exploser les nombreuses munitions laiss\u00e9es sur place. Pour \u00e9viter de trop se d\u00e9placer, le bunker \u00e9tait r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement rempli de munitions. Scott Post a surv\u00e9cu \u00e0 ces explosions. Seule la paroi arri\u00e8re a \u00e9t\u00e9 repouss\u00e9e par la forte pression. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, la construction a une valeur \u00e9cologique. Les chauves-souris, par exemple, y trouvent un bon g\u00eete.
