Les Britanniques l&rsquo;appellent Thames Farm sur leurs cartes. Au d\u00e9but de 1917, les Allemands commencent la construction de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toerismezonnebeke.be\/zien-en-doen\/stellungen\/\">position Flandern I<\/a> ici. Ce bunker sur la voie ferr\u00e9e en fait partie. Il se trouve au milieu de la position, entour\u00e9 de barbel\u00e9s. Une tranch\u00e9e la relie \u00e0 la ferme. Le bunker comprend trois pi\u00e8ces et un poste de mitrailleuse adjacent. Ce dernier est le seul \u00e9l\u00e9ment qui a surv\u00e9cu aux travaux de d\u00e9blaiement des ann\u00e9es 1920 et qui est donc encore visible aujourd&rsquo;hui.<\/p>\n<h2>Poste de secours allemand<\/h2>\n<p>Le 4 octobre 1917, le bunker est am\u00e9nag\u00e9 en poste de secours allemand. Vers 7 h 50, elle est prise par le 42e bataillon de la 3e division australienne. Pr\u00e8s de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toerismezonnebeke.be\/zien-en-doen\/thames-farm\/\">Thames Farm<\/a>, plus de 100 prisonniers de guerre allemands sont captur\u00e9s. Tout comme le personnel m\u00e9dical de ce bunker. Le 11 octobre, la 9e Ambulance de campagne australienne \u00e9tablit son poste de secours r\u00e9gimentaire ici. Le chemin de fer devient ainsi une importante voie d&rsquo;\u00e9vacuation. \u00c0 la fin du mois d&rsquo;octobre 1917, la route est toujours utilis\u00e9e par les Canadiens.<\/p>\n<p>Des restes de brancards ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverts lors de fouilles en 2005.
