Ils peuvent \u00e9galement \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour transmettre des signaux. La plupart des moulins sont donc une cible pour l&rsquo;artillerie. Le 27 octobre 1914, le moulin de Geluveld est d\u00e9truit par les Allemands. <strong>L&rsquo;artilleur Dinkel<\/strong> le met en pi\u00e8ces depuis le hameau de &lsquo;Oude Hond&rsquo;, \u00e0 plus de 2,5 km d&rsquo;ici.<\/p>\n<p>Deux jours plus tard, les Allemands attaquent Geluveld. Les troupes britanniques d\u00e9fendent avec succ\u00e8s le village, mais le 31 octobre 1914, il doit encore \u00eatre abandonn\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2>Monuments<\/h2>\n<p>Le r\u00e9giment d&rsquo;infanterie allemand 105 qui a pris Geluveld a ensuite construit son propre monument dans cette zone.
