The herb proliferates due to the many offshoots it forms and it grows about 80 cm high. It flowers in July and August.<\/p>\n<p>The plant is mainly used to make tea. It has a beneficial effect on the airways and works well for colds, asthma, bronchitis and flu. It also has a positive effect on the digestive system and works against diarrhoea, bloating, indigestion and stomach flu.<\/p>\n<p>The mint plant has a strong fragrant substance also known as menthol. Menthol is used in a lot of products as a flavouring and fragrance.
