As a child, she was found along the Stratendijk near the Crampebusch. She later lives at the Gavermeerschen.<\/p>\n<p>Clette is a &#8216;teilematooie&#8217; or ridiculously dolled-up woman with a doll cast face. Her apron always contains a flask of magic potion, a decoction of \u2018redshank\u2019 and \u2018selandine\u2019. On her back, she carries a braided basket to hold herbs and crumbled bread for the rabbits she breeds. They are not just any rabbits, but rabbits with&#8230; three ears.<\/p>\n<p>When pregnant women see Clette coming, they rush to put a grip of salt and an Easter nail (incense candle) at the door. This custom keeps evil away.
