The Passchendaele Museum<\/a> in Zonnebeke launched the ‘Names in the Landscape’ geoportal on 25 May 2022, with the support of the Flemish Government and Library and Archives Canada. It is an online portal.<\/p>\n

Online portal<\/h2>\n

The online portal shows where more than 1,400 Canadians were killed or presumably buried. The Menin Gate in Ypres lists 6,928 missing Canadians. The museum tries to give them a tangible place in the landscape one by one via the geoportal. You will find photos, personal and military data and anecdotes, for example.<\/p>\n

As a visitor to the portal, you can also add information yourself, helping to build an online platform<\/strong> for relatives, interested parties and other museums.<\/p>\n
