They built some concrete structures there, poured over curved corrugated sheets called &#8216;<strong>Baby Elephants<\/strong>&#8216;. The edges were trimmed with straight corrugated sheets, a rather unique method of construction.<\/p>\n<p>Two such structures in the Polygon Forest are preserved to this day. Both bunkers probably date from late December 1917 or early January 1918.
